Dudley is a hilly town, and trees growing on steep or uneven ground need an extra degree of care when they come down. We provide tree felling here for dead, diseased, leaning and overgrown trees, and for any tree that has simply become too large for its position.
We agree the method with you before we start, work to protect your home and boundaries, and finish by logging the timber and clearing the green waste away. Nothing is left lying in the garden when we leave, and the site is swept.

Many Dudley gardens slope up or down from the house, and some back onto steep banks. A tree on that kind of ground does not behave as it would on a flat lawn, since cut timber can roll and the roots may be holding the soil in place. We lower sections under rope control and keep the ground crew well away from the downhill side.
Access is another factor. Narrow paths, steps and tight side passages are common, so we think about how the timber will get out as carefully as how the tree will come down. If the garden is awkward to reach, we tell you how we propose to manage it, so that there are no surprises for you or your neighbours on the day of the work.

The housing in Dudley ranges from older terraces to twentieth century estates, and many of the trees in these gardens have grown beyond what was ever intended. Conifers, sycamores and tired old fruit trees can overshadow small plots, press against walls and drop heavy limbs, and removing one often transforms how a garden feels, how much light it gets and how usable it is.
In places Dudley sits on wooded limestone ground, where trees are plentiful and their roots can run through shallow, stony soil. We take care to understand how a tree is anchored before cutting, because that affects how it will react as weight is taken off it. Please check with the council about protection before you book any work at all, to be safe.
After felling in Dudley, we cut the timber into logs for you to keep or take away, and the brash and other green waste leave with us. The stump can be left low or ground out by arrangement, which on a slope is worth discussing with us first, as roots may be holding soil. We also cover Brierley Hill, Netherton, Sedgley, Tipton and Gornal.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.

We rarely let a trunk fall freely on a slope. The tree is taken down in short sections that are roped, lowered and cut into manageable lengths, and the area below the work is kept clear. This gives full control over where each piece goes.
It can be, but the roots may be helping to hold the bank together, so we look at the ground first. We may suggest leaving the stump low instead of grinding it, and we will explain the reasoning for your garden.
Yes. We climb the tree and dismantle it in sections, then carry the timber out by the safest route, which may be through the house or along a shared passage. We check the route before we start so nothing is damaged.
