Aldridge has the kind of gardens where trees are allowed to grow big, and eventually some of them need to come down. We provide tree felling here for dead, diseased, leaning or storm-damaged trees, and for those that have simply grown too large for the house or the plot.
Each job starts with a look at the tree, the ground around it and what it could hit if something went wrong. From there we agree whether it can be felled whole or must be taken down in sections, and we clear the timber and waste once the work is finished.

The larger detached houses in Aldridge usually sit in generous gardens, and the trees in them can be substantial: old oaks and ash, tall conifers, overgrown firs and mature specimens that were planted close to the house when they were small. A tree that size is a different task from a garden shrub, and it needs proper planning before any cutting starts.
Space can actually make felling simpler, because a clear drop zone sometimes allows a tree to be brought down in one piece. Often, though, there are greenhouses, outbuildings, long driveways or neighbouring fences to think about, so we judge each tree by what surrounds it and choose the safer route rather than the quicker one, even when that means more time on site.

Aldridge sits on the northern edge of the West Midlands, with Green Belt countryside close by, and many gardens finish at a field boundary or a line of old hedging. Trees growing along these edges can lean, shed limbs or drag at the hedge beneath them, and a failing one is worth dealing with sensibly before a winter storm does it for you.
When we fell a tree beside a boundary hedge, we protect the hedge wherever we can, and we keep branches and trunk sections from landing in a neighbouring field or garden. It is also worth asking the council whether a tree preservation order applies before you book anything at all, since trees on the rural edge of Aldridge are sometimes protected by one.
Once an Aldridge tree is down we cut the timber into logs, which you can keep or have taken away, and we remove the brash and green waste. The stump can be left low for you to use as a base for planting, or ground out by arrangement if you want the area level for lawn or paving. We also cover Streetly, Great Barr and Walsall.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.

Warning signs include dead branches in the crown, fungus at the base, a lean that has changed, cracks or loose bark, and roots lifting the ground. If you are unsure, tell us what you can see and we will look at the tree and say honestly whether it needs to come down.
Sometimes. If there is a wide clear space and nothing valuable within reach, a tree can be felled whole. In most gardens we still dismantle it in sections, because it gives more control and protects fences, lawns and any buildings nearby.
