Bromsgrove stands at the foot of the Lickey Hills, and a good number of its gardens hold mature trees that have been growing for a long time. When one of them becomes dead, diseased, leaning or simply too large, we can fell it safely and leave your garden clear of timber and waste afterwards.
We work on town-centre period homes, newer estates and larger village-edge properties alike. Each tree is looked at on its own merits, and we explain how we plan to take it down, and what will be left behind, before any cutting begins.

In and around Bromsgrove town centre, older houses often have narrow or enclosed gardens where a tree has little room to fall and plenty of property close by. These jobs call for sectional dismantling, with each limb and trunk piece lowered on ropes, and a clear plan for carrying the timber out through a side gate, a passage or the house itself.
On the newer estates the problem is usually different. Trees planted when the houses were built, often conifers or fast growers, now loom over small plots, shade lawns and push against fences and walls. Taking them down gives the garden its light back, and we can often do it neatly in a single visit once the access has been sorted out with you beforehand.

Village-edge properties around Bromsgrove tend to have bigger gardens, with mature trees, tall hedges and open countryside close by. Trees along those boundaries can become top-heavy, lose limbs in strong wind or grow towards overhead lines, and a large one may need a skilled climber and a careful plan for how its considerable weight will come down to the ground safely and under control.
Where there is more space, we may be able to bring parts of a tree down more quickly, but we never trade safety for speed. Ground conditions, nearby outbuildings, a neighbour's fence and any animals in the next field all shape the method we choose. Before work starts in Bromsgrove, it is worth checking with the council about any preservation order on the tree.
When the tree is down, we cut the timber into logs for you to keep or take away, and we clear the brash and green waste. The stump can be left low or ground out by arrangement, depending on whether you plan to replant, lay turf or build there. We also cover Catshill, Barnt Green, Alvechurch and Rubery from Bromsgrove.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.

We would not advise it. Felling a large tree is dangerous, and a mistake can damage property or injure someone. A professional team has the climbing gear, rigging and training to take it down in controlled sections, and to deal with the timber afterwards.
They can. Trees on a boundary next to fields or lanes may have an owner other than you, and falling timber must not block a road or enter a neighbouring plot. We check where the boundary lies and plan the drop zone accordingly.
Yes, unless you would like to keep them. Many people ask for the logs to be stacked for a wood burner. Let us know your preference when you book, and we will leave the logs where you want them or take everything away.
Tell us what needs doing and where. We will get back to you to arrange a visit and a free, no-obligation quote. Photos sent on WhatsApp help.
