Droitwich is a Worcestershire spa town with a mix of period houses and newer estates, and plenty of larger gardens out towards the village edges. We fell trees here that are dead, diseased, leaning or storm-damaged, as well as healthy ones that have grown too big for the space they stand in.
Before any cutting begins, we look at the tree, the ground and everything around it, then explain how we plan to remove it. When the work is done, the timber is logged and the green waste is cleared from your garden.

Older properties in Droitwich often stand close to their trees, with a mature specimen only a few metres from the walls, a conservatory or a garage. Felling these safely means working in controlled sections, lowering each piece on ropes so that nothing swings or drops onto roofs, glass or the neighbouring garden, however tall and wide the tree has become over time.
On the newer estates, gardens are smaller and trees planted at the start have often outgrown them. Conifers and fast-growing trees in particular can shade lawns and crowd boundaries within a short time. Where there is no space for a tree to fall, sectional removal is the answer, and we plan the route for carrying logs out of the garden before we begin work.

Out on the edge of Droitwich, gardens are larger, and the trees in them are often mature oaks, ash or tall hedgerow trees that have been left to grow for a long time. A tree like that can carry a huge amount of weight high up in its crown, so we study its lean, its roots and the ground beneath before we decide the method.
The Droitwich Canals bring damp ground and plenty of greenery in places, and soft or waterlogged soil can affect how we position equipment. Where a tree stands near a boundary, a field edge or a towpath, we keep falling timber well inside your own land. It is also sensible to ask the council whether the tree has a preservation order on it.
Once a Droitwich tree is felled, we cut it into logs, which you are welcome to keep or have removed, and we take away the brash and green waste. The stump can be left low or ground out by arrangement, depending on what you plan to put in its place. We also cover Worcester, Bromsgrove, Ombersley and Stoke Prior.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.

Yes, although it has to be done in sections rather than in one fall. A climber takes the tree down piece by piece, with each section lowered on a rope. This keeps the roof, windows and conservatory clear of any impact.
It can. Wet or soft soil may not take the weight of heavy equipment, so we plan where to stand and how to carry timber out. In some cases, we use ground protection or hand-carry sections to avoid churning up your garden.
The council holds the records of preservation orders and conservation areas, so contact it with the address and a description of the tree. Do this before booking, because cutting a protected tree without consent can lead to serious penalties.
