Redditch was planned as a new town, and the trees that were planted along its roads and estates are now fully grown. Some are splendid. Others have outgrown their position and press on garden walls, drains and roofs. If one of those is in your garden, we can fell it safely and tidy up after.
We always start by looking at the tree and the surroundings in person. Then we explain what we would do, whether a lighter option would work and whether anyone else, such as the council or a housing landlord, has to agree before work goes ahead.

Estates built in the new town era were laid out with generous open space, landscaped roads and trees put in at a scale that suits a young development. Decades later those trees are huge. Species chosen for quick cover can have brittle limbs, heavy canopies and aggressive roots, and a few have become a nuisance to the houses they were meant to soften.
When we assess a mature planted tree in a Redditch garden, we look for deadwood, cracks, decay and signs that the roots are lifting paths or walls. Where there are problems we explain them plainly. A healthy tree may only need pruning, but one that is failing is far better felled in calm conditions than left to a gale. We will tell you which applies.

Redditch has a lot of open green space, and not every tree that overhangs a garden belongs to the householder. Some stand on council or association land. Before we fell anything, we ask who owns it, and where ownership is unclear we suggest you confirm it first, because cutting down a tree that is not yours can bring serious trouble. Ownership matters.
Near the Arrow Valley Park and other protected spaces, there may also be rules about felling. For trees in your own garden the position is usually simple, though a preservation order can apply anywhere. We help you check, and we only go ahead once you have the right permissions in hand and the plan is agreed. If you are unsure, ask us before anything is booked.
After felling, we log the timber for you or take it away with the branches and green waste. The stump can be left low or ground out by arrangement. Besides Redditch itself we also cover Headless Cross and Astwood Bank, so if you are on the edge of town and need a tree taken down, we can arrange a visit.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.
Call, or send photos on WhatsApp, and we will come back to you.

If it stands on council or estate land, it is not yours to fell. Contact whoever manages the land and ask them to deal with it. We can only fell trees you own or have written permission to remove.
Many were planted for quick cover and have since grown very large, with weak limbs, decay or roots pressing on walls and paths. We inspect each tree and tell you whether pruning will do or whether it should come down.
We can leave the logs stacked for you if you burn wood, or take them away with the branches and green waste. Either way we sweep up the sawdust and debris before we leave the garden. Nothing is left behind.
Tell us what needs doing and where. We will get back to you to arrange a visit and a free, no-obligation quote. Photos sent on WhatsApp help.
