In Tipton the streets of terraces and inter-war houses mostly have small to medium gardens, and neighbours are never far away. A single overgrown tree can affect several properties at once. We provide tree surgery in Tipton, including crown reductions, thinning, branch removal and taking trees down in sections where there is no room to drop them.
Our approach is to explain things plainly. We look at the tree, tell you what is realistic for the garden, and keep the work as tidy and considerate as possible for everyone living around you. That includes the neighbours, whose fences and gardens are often only a step away.

A tree planted in a Tipton back garden a few decades ago may now reach well above the roofline. Its roots can lift paving and push on walls, its branches can shade windows and its leaves block gutters. Sometimes a cut back and some thinning is all that is needed to make the garden usable again, and the tree can carry on.
We will tell you honestly when a tree is simply the wrong size for the plot. Trees such as leylandii, poplar and fast-growing willow often suit larger spaces, and removal may make more sense than constant trimming. If you would rather keep the tree, we will suggest a manageable plan to hold it at a sensible size. That way you are never stuck with a tree that causes more trouble than it gives.

Working in tight streets means thinking about everything around the tree. Fences, sheds, parked cars and washing lines are close, and overhead cables run across many back gardens in Tipton. We lower branches rather than letting them fall, and we keep clear of lines, stopping to say so if the cable owner needs to be involved before we go any further. We never rush a cut near a line or a roof.
It also helps to speak with the neighbours in advance, especially if a branch crosses the boundary or we need to pass material through next door. We are happy to explain the work to them, and we keep noise and mess to a minimum while we are on site, then sweep up properly before we leave. If timing matters to you, tell us when you book and we will do what we can.
Tipton has green corridors along its canals, and some trees are protected, so we check with the council for a Tree Preservation Order or conservation area before cutting. We also look for nesting birds and plan around them. Once finished, logs, brash and green waste go with us. We also cover Great Bridge, Coseley and Dudley, if you are just outside the town.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.
Call, or send photos on WhatsApp, and we will come back to you.

Usually yes, provided it is not protected. Thinning and reducing the crown can let light through without ruining the tree. We check for a Tree Preservation Order first, then agree what is sensible, since cutting too hard can harm the tree and make it regrow badly.
We climb it and remove it piece by piece, roping each section so it is lowered gently rather than dropped. Fences, roofs and gardens are protected where possible. The pieces are carried out, chipped or cut up, and the area is left clean.
We can work near them with care, but we do not touch live lines. If branches are in contact with or very close to a cable, we will explain who needs to make it safe first. Then we can carry out the pruning or removal properly.
