Aldridge has some of the larger plots in our area, and with them come some of the larger trees. Oaks, birches, tall conifers and old field-edge hedgerow trees all need attention sooner or later. We provide tree surgery across Aldridge, from light thinning to taking a whole tree down in controlled sections.
Because gardens here are often long and open, the work is not always about squeezing into tight spaces. It is more about judging weight, spread and what sits underneath the branches. We look at each tree on its own merits and tell you what we would do if it were ours.

Many detached houses in Aldridge stand in big gardens that back onto fields or open green space. A tree that has been left for a long time can become very heavy on one side, and branches that once cleared the roof may now sit directly above it. Reducing the weight and length of those limbs is often enough to make the tree safe again.
We can thin a dense crown to let wind through, remove dead or broken branches, and shorten limbs reaching towards the house, a garage or a driveway. The aim is a tree that still looks like itself but poses much less risk to the buildings and people below it. It also tends to make neighbours far happier, since less of the tree reaches over the boundary and into their light.

Sometimes a tree in Aldridge is too diseased, too badly split or too close to a building to keep. Even with plenty of lawn around it, we do not simply fell it and hope. Depending on what is nearby, we may take it down in pieces, using ropes to lower sections away from fences, sheds and neighbouring land. The cost of a mistake with a heavy trunk is high, so we would sooner take a little longer and keep everything under control.
Storm damage is a common reason for a call. A torn limb hanging in a canopy is dangerous to leave, and if that is the situation, mention it straight away so we can treat it as an emergency. Once the tree is down, the stump can be discussed separately if you would like it dealt with. We can also advise on replanting something smaller that suits the space.
Larger gardens near open countryside around Aldridge often hold trees with legal protection, so we ask Walsall Council about Tree Preservation Orders and conservation areas before cutting. We also watch for nesting birds in hedges and canopies, and for any cables crossing the work area. When we finish, the timber and green waste go with us and the lawn is left clean.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.

The local planning team at the council can tell you whether a tree is protected or lies in a conservation area. We usually make that enquiry for you before any cutting starts. If a tree is protected, an application is made first and the work waits for the decision.
Yes, large trees are part of our normal work. We climb and take them down in sections, rope-lowering heavier pieces where space is limited. First we check for protection orders and look at what is beneath it, since some oaks are better reduced rather than removed.
Yes. Branches are chipped and all green waste and timber are loaded and removed, and the area is raked or swept tidy. If you would like to keep logs for a stove or fire pit, tell us at the start and we will leave them in a neat pile.
