Trees close to buildings and fences
Where a tree stands beside a shed, an extension or a neighbour's fence there is rarely room to drop it in one piece. The usual method is to take it down in sections, cutting from the top and lowering the pieces on ropes. In the photos, the tall tree behind the outbuilding and the branches reaching over the extension roof are exactly that sort of job.
Conifers and clearing up
Tall boundary conifers are felled the same way, in sections. The picture of the conifers shows the trunks close to the fence, with bare ground and a few pale stumps around them. The last view shows the lawn, decking and path behind the extension in order, with a cut trunk at the edge of the frame.
