Aldridge has some of the larger gardens we work in, with detached houses set back on generous plots. A big lawn rewards good groundwork and punishes shortcuts, so we treat every job as a ground preparation job first, whether the end result is new turf, a renovation or artificial grass.
We handle turfing, scarifying, levelling, repairs and edging, and we fit artificial grass where a real lawn is not practical. We will say plainly which option suits your garden rather than steering you toward the biggest job. If a simple repair will do, we say so.

On a large Aldridge lawn, small faults add up. A low corner that holds water, a compacted strip where the children run, or a patch of old roots will all show through the finished grass. We walk the whole garden first and mark where the ground needs work before we start. It is much easier to fix levels before the grass goes down than after.
Preparation means removing the old lawn if it has failed, clearing weeds and stones, breaking up compaction and levelling the surface carefully. Only then do we lay turf, working in staggered rows with tight joints so the new lawn knits together and does not show seams across the garden. That is the difference between a lawn that looks good in the first week and one that still looks good later.

Many gardens in Aldridge back onto field-edge hedging or sit among mature trees. That is lovely, but roots take moisture from the soil and leaf fall smothers grass in autumn, so lawns near boundaries often need extra attention and a sensible choice between repair and replacement. Where a boundary hedge is close, we also allow for the shade and the dry soil along it when we plan the work.
Where a section of lawn keeps failing under a tree, we may suggest renovating the open part and leaving the problem corner alone, or fitting artificial grass there. It is about matching the surface to the conditions on the ground, not forcing real turf in a spot where it will never thrive, and it stops you paying twice for the same lawn.
A well edged lawn looks cared for even when the grass is a little long. We cut definite edges along beds, paths and drives in Aldridge and can fit edging where the lawn meets planting. We also work in Streetly and Great Barr, so ask if you are nearby and would like us to look at your lawn and talk it through.

From our base in Hall Green we work across Birmingham, the Black Country, Solihull and parts of Worcestershire. Choose your area.
We find out why it failed first, which is usually compaction, poor levels or shade. Then we scarify, level and repair, or lift the worst areas and re-turf. Treating only the surface rarely lasts if the problem sits underneath it.
Yes. Water has to pass through the surface and away. We lay it over a compacted, levelled base with edging and weed membrane, and we check how the garden drains before starting so the area does not stay wet or boggy underneath.
Yes. We can renovate one area and leave the rest, or re-turf a section that has failed. We cut back to a clean line, prepare the ground properly and blend the new turf in so that it does not look like a patch.
