Gardens in Aldridge are often big enough to take a patio that feels like a second living room. We build new terraces, paths and paved areas for the larger detached houses on the northern edge of the West Midlands, planning each one around the house, the garden and the way your family likes to spend time outside.
Whether you want a sweeping terrace across the back of the house or a quiet paved corner at the end of the lawn, the work follows the same steps: marking out, digging, a firm base and careful laying. We clear away the old surface and spoil, then leave the garden tidy.

With plenty of room to play with, the first question in Aldridge is usually how large to go. A terrace that is too small gets crowded once a dining table and a few chairs are out, so we measure up with real furniture sizes in mind. We can also suggest curved edges, a stepped level or a second paved area further down the garden where the sun lingers later.
Longer gardens bring longer paths, and these are worth getting right. A paved route to a summerhouse, shed or vegetable plot saves you walking across wet lawn, and it ties the garden together. We lay paths with the same base and fall as a patio, then finish the edges so the lawn can be mown right up to them. We can make a path wide enough for a wheelbarrow and a mower.

A bigger patio shows its surface more, so material choice matters. We lay sandstone-look paving, porcelain and natural stone, and we explain the differences in colour, texture and cleaning before you decide. Large formats look calm and modern, while smaller mixed sizes suit older detached houses. We bring samples so you can see them in your own light. Natural stone suits older houses, while porcelain is easy to keep clean.
Underneath, the job is the same whatever you choose: excavation to a sound depth, a compacted sub-base and a slight fall for drainage. Aldridge gardens often back onto mature trees and field-edge hedging, so we check roots and shade early and set the levels to keep water away from the house. Joints are pointed and borders finished neatly. We take the waste away afterwards.
Larger plots mean more spoil, and we deal with it properly. In Aldridge we load old paving, soil and rubble and take it away, so nothing is left piled behind the shed. We also cover Streetly, Great Barr and Walsall, so if you are close to Aldridge, tell us about your garden and we will look at what suits it.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.

Size is limited mainly by what looks right with your house and garden. Many Aldridge plots can take a wide terrace plus a second area further out. We mark the outline on the ground with you first, so you can judge the scale before digging begins.
Yes. A path built on a proper base stays level and does not turn to mud in wet weather. We lay it with a slight fall for drainage, finish the edges against the lawn and can match it to your patio so the whole garden looks planned.
We pay extra attention to roots and shade. Hedge roots can reach under a surface, so we check as we dig and set the levels to suit. Leaf fall also makes some paving slippery, so we explain which materials clean easily.
