Willenhall's terraces and 20th century estates tend to come with small to medium gardens, where a patio has to be well judged to feel right. We build paved areas that sit flat, drain properly and fit the space, with a solid base under the slabs and clean lines at the walls, borders and lawn. It is a practical upgrade that you use every day.
We visit, talk through your plans and agree a layout, then excavate, build the base, lay the paving to a gentle fall and point the joints. The old surface and spoil are taken away when we are done.

The step from the back door onto the patio is where many gardens go wrong. If the paving is too high it can let water towards the house, and if it is too low it floods. In Willenhall terraces and estate homes we set the finished level below the damp-proof course and give the surface a fall away from the wall, so rain leaves the area quickly.
Where an old step or threshold is awkward, we can rework it as part of the job, perhaps with a wider landing or a second shallow step. Small changes like these make the door safer to use, especially after dark, and the patio looks like part of the house instead of something added on at the end. Any existing door threshold is checked before we set the first slab.

In a small to medium garden, material and pattern show up more than size. Porcelain gives a crisp, even surface that suits newer estates and makes a small space look tidy. Sandstone-look slabs bring a warmer, more natural tone that sits well against brick terraces. We can bring samples to look at against your own walls and fence, so you see how the colour reads.
Pointing matters too. Properly filled joints keep slabs locked together and leave little room for weeds. At the edges, we trim slabs to fit corners, drains and borders, rather than leaving gaps. In Willenhall gardens with a small lawn, a firm edge between paving and grass also stops soil spilling over onto the patio, and keeps the mower from catching a slab corner on its way past.
Access in Willenhall can be tight, with only a short side passage or an entry through the house, so we plan how materials and waste move before starting. We lay boards to protect surfaces and take away old paving, soil and offcuts as we go. We also cover Walsall, Bilston, Darlaston, Wolverhampton and Short Heath. Tell us what you would like built.

Low enough that the surface sits below the damp-proof course, with a slight fall away from the wall. That keeps rainwater moving off. We check the existing levels and the position of the door before agreeing the final height.
Yes. We can build an even step or a wider landing, with a non-slip surface and a firm edge. It is easy to include in the same job, and it makes the doorway much easier to use in wet or dark conditions.
Both work. Porcelain gives a clean, modern surface and is easy to wipe down, while sandstone-look slabs feel softer and more natural next to brick. We can place samples in your garden so you can judge them properly.
