In Willenhall the terraces and 20th century estates sit close together, so one tree often affects three gardens. A sagging branch over the fence is a worry for you and your neighbours, who may not enjoy the shade or the leaves. Crown lifting in Willenhall raises the canopy cleanly, so the tree remains but the problem branches are gone.
We keep the cuts light and the conversation open. Before any work begins we show you what we plan to remove, and we say if a branch is not yours to cut. That avoids awkward disputes later and leaves a tree that looks cared for from both sides of the fence.

Small to medium gardens mean boundaries are never far away. In Willenhall, a tree rooted in one garden may hang over two others, and each owner has a different view of what is wanted. Legally, you can usually cut back overhanging branches to the boundary, but doing so crudely can harm the tree. We lift the canopy with proper cuts instead, and it often satisfies everyone.
If you are the neighbour of a big tree, you can still ask us to look. We will tell you honestly what can be done from your side and what needs the owner's agreement. Some lifts can be shared between households, which is a sensible way to settle things without anyone feeling that they have lost out. A tidy conversation early saves a lot of trouble later.

Many Willenhall estate gardens were laid out with a small ornamental tree at the front or back, chosen when the garden was new. These trees have often filled their space and then some. Lifting the canopy brings back light to ground-floor rooms and clears the path to the front door, without removing a feature that gives the garden some life. It is a simple way to improve the garden.
On the older terraces, the trees are often self-seeded sycamore or ash that have grown unplanned. They can be fast, and their low branches quickly become thick. We lift these early, while the branches are still small and the wounds are easy to close, because a smaller cut is kinder to the tree than waiting until the limb is heavy. Early care means less work for you later.
We check for protected trees and conservation areas in Willenhall before cutting, and tell you if notice is needed. Once done, the branches are removed, chipped where we can and swept up on both sides of the fence if needed. We also cover Walsall, Bilston and Short Heath, and can look at other trees there on the same trip.

You can ask, but the tree belongs to your neighbour, so they need to agree to the work or you may only trim back to the boundary. We can speak with both of you and suggest a lift that suits everyone.
Generally you can cut branches that overhang your land, unless the tree is protected, though the cut wood still belongs to the tree's owner. We would rather lift the canopy properly than hack to the line, as it protects the tree.
Earlier is easier. Lifting while branches are still small means the cuts are tiny and heal quickly. We usually do it in stages as the tree grows, taking a few low branches at a time instead of one large cut.
