Gardens in Oldbury come in all shapes, from compact terrace yards to the longer plots behind inter-war semis. Whatever you have, a well-built patio makes it more useful. We construct new patios, paths and paved areas across the town, marking out the space, preparing the ground properly and laying paving that stays flat and drains well.
Many customers simply want an end to a patchy lawn or an old cracked slab. Others have a bigger plan. Either way we start with a visit, talk through the options in plain language, and agree the details before any work begins.

A lot of Oldbury gardens are small or oddly shaped, and a clever layout makes all the difference. We might run paving right up to the boundary to maximise the usable area, or leave a border at one side for planting so the space feels softer. We will sketch the choices and mark them on the ground so you can see what suits.
Access is often limited too. If everything has to be carried through the house, we protect floors and walls, bring materials in manageable loads and keep the job tidy. Old paving, concrete and spoil are carried out the same way, so the finished patio is not surrounded by a mess that you then have to deal with. It makes the day far easier for everyone.

Ground across the Black Country can be mixed, with clay in some places and made-up soil in others, and that affects how a patio settles. We dig out to a sensible depth, compact a proper sub-base in layers and check it before the paving goes down. This is where a patio either lasts or starts to move. We never skip it, however small the patio.
Water has to go somewhere, so the surface is laid with a gentle fall away from the house and any low spots. Joints are pointed once everything is set, and the edges are cut cleanly against walls, steps and borders. The result is a firm, level surface that looks smart in Oldbury and stays that way. Small details like these are what you notice in daily use.
With Warley Woods close by and mature trees in some Oldbury gardens, leaves and shade are worth planning for. We pick textured paving where damp is likely and can trim back overhanging growth first if you want. We also cover Smethwick, Langley, Tividale and Rowley Regis, so just ask if you are in a neighbouring area. We will talk it through.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.

Yes. Small yards often gain the most. We measure carefully, suggest a layout that uses every bit of space and work around the access you have. Compact patios are built on the same solid base as larger ones, so they last.
We take them away. Old paving, broken concrete and the soil dug out for the new base all leave with us as part of the job, so you are not left with a pile to arrange for disposal.
A good base and properly pointed joints do most of the work. We lay the paving tightly, point the joints firmly and leave a clean surface. An occasional sweep and the odd bit of weeding keeps things neat.
