Worcester gardens range from period houses near the river to large suburban plots, and many back onto meadows, willows and mature trees. That makes for lovely settings and hard-working fences. We supply and fit close-board and panel fencing, replace rotten posts and panels, and hang gates, and we clear the old fence away when we finish.
Near the water, damp ground is the main enemy of timber, and we plan our fences with that in mind. We can also cut back trees or hedges on the boundary. We also cover Kempsey, Powick and Claines, so ask if you are close.

Gardens close to the river or the floodplain meadows around Worcester hold water for much of the year, and that is hard on fence posts. We set them deeply and firmly, and we use gravel boards so the panels never sit on wet soil. Where the ground is soft, we take extra care over how each post is bedded. Wet ground needs more care than dry, and it is worth getting right.
Good airflow helps too, so we leave a clear gap under the panels and let water drain away from the base. It is a small design choice, but it keeps the timber drier and the fence upright. If you would like a gate down to a meadow or path, we can hang a solid one with a proper latch. We will show you where it would sit before we begin.

Worcester has plenty of generous suburban gardens, and replacing a long fence line is a sizeable job. We agree the plan with you, string the line first, and work along it in order. Posts go in at even spacing and panels or boards are hung level along the top, even where the ground dips. That way you pay for new timber only where it is really needed.
On a big plot it is sometimes worth replacing only the worst runs. We walk the boundary and mark what is sound, so you do not pay to renew timber that still has life in it. If you want it all done, the old fence is removed and taken away, leaving the garden clear. We will tell you honestly which approach suits your plot.
Willows and mature trees close to the boundary can lift posts and drop branches on panels. We can prune or remove them on your side before the new fence is built. Some parts of Worcester are conservation areas, so check with the council on height and style, and agree the line with the neighbours before we begin. We will then build exactly to what you have agreed.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.
Call, or send photos on WhatsApp, and we will come back to you.

No fence is immune to wet ground, but deep, firm posts, gravel boards and a clear gap beneath the panels help a lot. We will look at your garden and advise on a build that copes with the conditions.
Rules can differ in a conservation area, especially for taller or front fences. We would suggest asking the council before ordering anything. Once you have the answer, we will build to the height and style you confirm. We will explain what to expect.
Yes. We walk the boundary with you and mark which stretches are sound and which have failed. Replacing only the worst runs can be sensible, and we will tell you honestly if a full renewal makes more sense.
