Tipton is a Black Country town of terraced streets and inter-war estates, with gardens that are mostly small to medium. Fences there work hard, dividing neighbours, holding in pets and children, and keeping prying eyes out. We supply and fit close-board and panel fencing, replace broken posts and panels, and hang gates, then clear the old fence away.
A fence in a small garden should be solid and neat, because there is little room to hide a poor job. We can also trim or remove a hedge or small tree that is pushing on the boundary. We also cover Great Bridge and Coseley, close to Tipton.

With small to medium gardens, as you find across Tipton, the fence is a big part of what you see every day. Close-board gives a firm, upright screen that suits a short garden where the neighbours are close, while panel fencing is a sensible choice for a longer run where speed and cost to you matter. We explain both. We can look at your boundary and say which suits it.
Whichever you choose, the secret is in the posts. We set them firmly and plumb, at even spacing, so the line does not wander and the panels hang evenly. A gravel board along the bottom lifts the timber off damp soil, and that one detail does more to keep a fence sound than most people expect. It sounds small, but it adds a lot of life to the timber.

Many Tipton fences have been mended more than once, with a new panel here and a brace there, until the whole thing leans. When we look at a boundary like that, we tell you honestly whether another repair will hold or whether a fresh run is the better route. Sometimes only the posts need replacing. A leaning run like that usually tells its own story once we are standing in the garden.
If you do want it all renewed, we take out the old panels and posts, break them down and clear them away so you are left with a clean line. Where the old fence was shared with a neighbour, a quick word beforehand about the line and who pays for what avoids an awkward moment later. We tidy up as we go, so the garden is left clear.
Tipton has canal heritage, and gardens near the water or in low corners can stay damp. Timber fences like a bit of airflow and a clear gap above the soil. Check the boundary with neighbours first, and ask the council about height limits if you plan to go higher than a standard fence. We will plan the posts and boards around those conditions.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.

Look at the posts. If they are solid at ground level, panels can often be swapped on their own. If the posts are soft or snap easily, replacing the posts is the honest answer, because new panels on weak posts will not last.
Yes. We hang side and garden gates to match the fence, with heavy posts either side so they swing freely and latch properly. If you want a gate where there is no opening yet, tell us and we can plan it into the run.
No. Removing the old panels and posts is part of what we do, and we clear the waste when we finish. If you would like to keep any of the old timber, tell us beforehand and we will set it aside.
