Kingswinford gardens tend to be roomy, and so are the hedges that go with them. We cut and shape hedges across the village-suburb, taking long boundary runs down to size, squaring the sides and levelling the tops, then clearing everything away so the garden is ready to enjoy.
If you have a hedge that has grown wide, leggy or simply too tall, we can bring it back. If it only needs a regular tidy, we can do that too, as a one-off or on a repeat basis.

With so many semis and detached homes on large plots, hedges in Kingswinford can run for a long way. A full-length trim is a bigger job than it looks, and the shape matters over that distance. We set a string line where needed, cut the face evenly and check the top by eye from a few angles so there are no dips.
Long hedges also produce a lot of waste. We plan for it, working in sections so that the clippings do not pile up on lawns or beds, and loading them as we go. When the job is finished, the garden in Kingswinford is swept and the hedge stands straight along the full length of the boundary, with no stray cuttings left. It makes a real difference to how the whole garden looks.

On the edge of Kingswinford, hedges often meet open land or lanes, and mixed native hedging is common alongside the usual privet and conifer. Hawthorn, hazel, field maple and similar plants can be cut firmly, and they usually reward it with thicker growth. We keep the cut tidy but not over-manicured, so it suits the setting. Clean cuts to the right wood help the plant to heal and bush out in spring.
Hedges beside open ground are also wildlife corridors, so we pay extra attention to nests and shelter. We leave the hedge a little fuller on the outer side where that suits, and trim the garden face harder. If you are nearby in Wall Heath or Wordsley, we cover those as well, so just ask. Hedges at the garden edge are treated gently and with some patience.
Once a hedge in Kingswinford has been brought back under control, keeping it that way takes much less effort. A light trim once or twice a year is usually enough for fast growers, and a single cut will do for slower plants. We can book a repeat visit so you do not have to remember, and so the hedge never gets away from you again.

Usually, yes, depending on the length and how overgrown it is. Very large jobs may need more than one visit. We will look at the hedge first and tell you how we plan to tackle it before we start work.
We use powered cutters for most of the cutting because they give a clean, level finish quickly. For large-leaved plants such as laurel, we hand cut where it is needed so the leaves are not torn and browned.
We take them away with us, so you do not have to arrange disposal. We also sweep up around the hedge. If you want some cuttings for the compost bin, we are happy to leave them in a pile.
Tell us what needs doing and where. We will get back to you to arrange a visit and a free, no-obligation quote. Photos sent on WhatsApp help.
