If a tree in your Kidderminster garden has grown a skirt of low branches that brush the car, block the path or press against the glass, a crown lift is the usual answer. We take off the lowest growth so the canopy rises, and the rest of the tree carries on as before.
It is a lighter job than a full reduction and it suits the mature garden trees and conifers found on many of the town's older streets and 20th century estates. We keep the cuts in proportion and tell you plainly if the tree needs something different.

Kidderminster has period terraces with trees planted close to the house, and wider estates where conifers and broadleaf trees have grown well beyond what anyone expected. In Kidderminster the lower limbs tend to cause the same handful of problems: scraping vehicles, catching on wheelie bins, hanging into the pavement, or darkening front rooms and making them feel closed in. Heavy shade under the tree also leaves lawns thin and mossy.
A crown lift deals with all of these at once. We decide with you how much clearance you need over a drive or path, then work out how to reach it without taking more than the tree can spare. If the height you want would mean removing too much live growth, we will say so honestly rather than just cutting. A tidy lift often takes the tree very little.

Tall conifers and boundary hedges are common here, and they need a different approach. Many conifers will not regrow from bare wood, so lifting one means taking only branches that still leave plenty of green behind them. Done carefully it can open up a space under the tree for a seat, a shed or a clear view of the road from the house.
Broadleaf trees respond better to lifting, which is why they are the usual candidates. We work from the ground and from the tree where needed, cut cleanly, and take the arisings with us when we go. If a boundary tree overhangs a neighbour, talk to us before the work so the cutting line is agreed with them first. Nothing is cut that we have not talked through first.
We carry out crown lifting across Kidderminster, from town centre streets to the edges of the Stour valley, and we also cover Bewdley, Stourport-on-Severn and Hagley. Tell us roughly where the tree is and how much space you want underneath it, and we can talk through what is realistic and sensible before anyone comes out to look. There is no need to know the tree species.
Based in Hall Green, so we are never far from the gardens we work in.
We look at the job before we price it, so you know what is involved.
Branches, clippings and rubbish from our jobs are cleared and the garden left tidy.

Sometimes, but with care. Most conifers will not regrow from bare wood, so we only take lower branches where green growth remains above. If a tree has too little foliage for that, we will explain the alternatives instead of risking it.
It depends on the tree. For a vehicle you usually want a clear height well above the roof, but the cuts must leave enough live crown. We measure what the tree allows and tell you what can be achieved in one go.
We can only work on a tree with the owner's permission. You may trim branches overhanging your own side back to the boundary, but it is wiser to talk to the neighbour first. We can do the whole job once everyone agrees.
