Here we removed a tree standing close to a bungalow in Kidderminster, with a tall fence on one side and overhead cables running across the street. The first photo shows the setting from the road, and the second shows our climber on the white-barked trunk. The third looks across the gravelled front garden, where tall conifers and a second tree remain in view.

Working near wires and a roofline

Overhead cables change how a tree is taken down. Pieces cannot simply fall, so they are roped and lowered, and the climber keeps clear of the lines throughout. For work close to utility cables, it is wise to check beforehand with the line owner. With a bungalow and a fence just below, the cutting was kept to short, controlled sections.

What the three photos show

The street view shows a tall dark conifer, a drooping birch and a broad-leaved tree along the roadside. In the second photo the climber has the birch trunk already cut down to a pale, bare stem above the fence. The last photo looks at the same plot from the gravel garden, with black planters in the foreground. Not every tree visible was part of the job.
