This page brings together photos from fir and conifer work in Hall Green. We have shown a selection of jobs rather than one visit: a tall columnar conifer next to a house, a freshly cut stump beside a block-paved drive, and a back garden where a large conifer hedge was being cut back.

Front garden conifers and stumps

In the second photo a tall, narrow conifer stands close to the front door, with other shrubs crowding in around it, and a chainsaw already lying on the pavement. The first photo shows the pale cut face of a stump at the edge of the drive, with block paving and gravel beside it. The road is only a step away, so the area around the work is kept clear.

Cutting a stump low is common when the roots lie close to paving or services. Grinding it out is a separate job we can arrange if you want the space cleared, and the cut timber and branches from the tree are taken away with the rest of the waste. Large conifers beside a drive are handled in sections.

Conifers in the back garden

The last two photos show a back garden conifer hedge beside a rotary washing line. In the third it is tall and dense. In the fourth, brown and green clippings are piled over the lawn and border while the hedge stands cut back. Conifers do not regrow from old bare wood, so how far to cut is decided carefully.

We take the cuttings away once the work is finished. Before any fir or conifer removal, check for a Tree Preservation Order or conservation area with the council, and look out for nesting birds in the warmer months before anyone starts cutting. Hedges and trees of this size are cut in stages.
